So what about a business owner focusing on fulfillment that is “comfortable.?” That is great and supports them and their family…BUT their business is CAPPED. They are NOT going to grow past a certain extent simply because there is not enough time in the day for them to get everything they need done. What does this type of business owner start to do?…turn away business…they turn away GROWTH. Which is FINE if they are focusing on growing other aspects of their life and they are comfortable. If they instead refer that business to another business and get a kickback…that would be considered a way to GROW. If they raise their prices, they are simply both accounting for inflation and looking to work less and make the same amount they previously did.
They will have years where they make more money than the previous year…yes. They will have years where they make less money than the previous year…yes. But in terms of GROWTH…there is no possible way for them to make it past a certain point without delegation.

Maybe smaller CPA or law firms with the same headcount of people for 10+ years…go take a look at your books…that bottom line number WILL NOT exceed a certain point. Or in other words…you are NOT growing. Why?…because you haven’t delegated. You have focused on fulfillment. You know what is funny?…is that you always have talked to each other about hiring people but instead jumped into your fulfillment duties every day and never decided to act. You have focused on fulfillment with the FEAR you will get too busy…which is a good problem to have but a FEAR and a problem nonetheless because it will bring you something called STRESS. What does STRESS do?…negatively impacts other aspects of your life.
